Will nappy hair be popular now?

Now that "nappyhair" is a household word?

Will nappy hair be popular now?

If it is, I'll be popular every morning! lol

Will nappy hair be popular now?

no, nappy hair will not be popular. sorry.

Will nappy hair be popular now?

I don't really see that trend catching on anytime soon...

Will nappy hair be popular now?

Some stupid white women even wear their hair that nappy way now and all we need is for it to become trendy. Solidarity forever!

Will nappy hair be popular now?

Lord I hope not.

Will nappy hair be popular now?

Yes, where can I get a nappy headed 'ho. I don't want to be the last one on my block to get one. What kind of batteries does it take? Is assembly required?

Will nappy hair be popular now?

I doubt it, most blacks straighten their hair and whites curl theirs. People always want what they don't have.

Will nappy hair be popular now?

LOL!!!!

HOPE NOT!!

I have short, nappy hair and i wanna know if there's a hair style i can do without gettin my ha

afro!!!...lol...or braid it =]...whatever...its all awsome

I have short, nappy hair and i wanna know if there's a hair style i can do without gettin my hair pressed?

I have short, nappy hair and i wanna know if there's a hair style i can do without gettin my hair pressed?

An afro.

I have short, nappy hair and i wanna know if there's a hair style i can do without gettin my hair pressed?

You can braid your hair.

I have short, nappy hair and i wanna know if there's a hair style i can do without gettin my hair pressed?

a style?put your hair in a ponytail or braid it but if you think its nappy then why would u want to just ignore it you should press it then wet it if you want a natural look but thats all you can really do.

I have short, nappy hair and i wanna know if there's a hair style i can do without gettin my hair pressed?

Have you tried a silk straightener to take out the nappy look? I get a bottle of "Hempz" (I went to my cabinet....) a pure herbal extract that comes in a green tube (you can get it at just about any hair salon I'm sure) I use it to get that nappy frizz out. After I put some in my hair I use a hair straightener and love it! Also just a thought...check what might be causing the source of the nappy look we all deal with one time or another... do you over color your hair? Are you a swimmer in chlorine water? Do you over perm too soon? Medications? Diet? Just a thought. Hope this helps! ;-)

I have short, nappy hair and i wanna know if there's a hair style i can do without gettin my hair pressed?

Bantu, two strand twist, use S Curl to moist. check out blackhairmedia. We love healthy and love hair. You will be inspired to keep your hair natural. Wear headbands, scraf, barrettes. Braids.

I have short, nappy hair and i wanna know if there's a hair style i can do without gettin my hair pressed?

you can try braid extensions, if you dont want that you can have an afro,, orrr

you really should think about texturizing, it cos the nappyness , wont be so nappy ,and you will have softer curls,

and texturizer isnt as damaging as a relaxer, so it will be cool

How to grow my hair nappy and long without cutting it?

my hair is a little past my shoulders and is slightly permed. I haven't put a perm in my hair for almost 5 months.

How to grow my hair nappy and long without cutting it?

You will have to cut the chemically treated portion of your hair for the results desired. Once that's done, keep it cleaned, conditioned %26amp; moisturized. Good luck going natural!

How to grow my hair nappy and long without cutting it?

DO NOT PUT ANYMORE CHEMICALS IN YOUR HAIR!

JUST CONDITION IT WEEKLY ALTERNATING PROTEIN AND CHOLESTEROL CONDITIONERS. YOU WILL BE SURPRISED HOW LONG IT WILL GROW IN JUST 6 MONTHS(ABOUT 4-5 INCHES.

How can i make my hair wet and wavy without it getting thick and dry and hard when i use moouse?

I have medium type hair itz like n the middle its not nappy(it jus getz real thick) but i do get perms....but everytime i do the wet in wavy n my hair dries it getz all thick and bushy lookin and it getz very hard when i use moouse.....what should I do?

How can i make my hair wet and wavy without it getting thick and dry and hard when i use moouse?

that's what i winder too....many plp do it at my skool and i can't figure out hoe the heck they do it...lol.

it's a very pretty look though.

:D

How can i make my hair wet and wavy without it getting thick and dry and hard when i use moouse?

You can try a different kind of mousse. I have naturally wavy hair, and I use Garnier Fructis Curls mousse, which keeps my hair less frizzy, makes it shiny and doesn't feel stiff at all. Let your hair air dry after you apply the mousse and then use a thick comb first when it's dry, and finally use a really fine comb to make it shiny and crunch-free.

Can anyone suggest some Hair Styles for Very Long Hair That aren't nappy looking?

My hair goes right past my rear and I need some ideas. I don't cut or dye my hair so that's not an option...

Hair help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!?

I have short hair that goes down to my ears. It is very thick and nappy (unfortuanately) i dont know what to do with it! HELP

Hair help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!?

Options

You could twist it and then curl it with some curlers and maybe highlight it to give it a little edge.

You could add some extensions

You could perm it and try for the halle berry look

sorry if i'm no help but i'm in the same boat as you

Hair help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!?

Oh my gosh you're so lucky! You already got all your hair cut off so I would go with something drastic. I would honestly suggest a classy mohawk like Naima on America's Next Top Model, I'll give a link, it's so cute. If you're African American you usually don't need gel or anything to make it stand up, so it's all good.

Do black people have to use a special shampoo to wash their nappy hair?

No, do you?

Do black people have to use a special shampoo to wash their nappy hair?

no, we use the same shampoo you use. only we dont have to wash it everyday as its not oily, in fact its dry so we have to put oils in our hair. fascinating isnt it?

Do black people have to use a special shampoo to wash their nappy hair?

no

acutally some women who wear their hair natural dont even have to use shampoos at all....of course we need lots of conditoner, lol.

I wear my hair natural and I shampoo my hair once a MONTH, and I dont use typical shampoos I use natural castile soap.

one more benefit of being natural!

Do black people have to use a special shampoo to wash their nappy hair?

You asked that question in a rude manner. It would be acceptable to ask if black people use a different type of shampoo, but to refer to someones hair as nappy is rude and only your opinion.

Yes, most black people I know use a shampoo for delicate and dry hair, is you call that a "special" shampoo.

Do black people have to use a special shampoo to wash their nappy hair?

Do you kiss your mother with that mouth?

Do black people have to use a special shampoo to wash their nappy hair?

I use a sponge and some Turtle Wax. I used to use some Afro-sheen and have it dyed, tied and laid to the side.

Do black people have to use a special shampoo to wash their nappy hair?

There actually is a shampoo I ran across that was for "people of color." Well I am jealous of black people's hair, it isn't nappy at all. I actually use that shampoo for my extrememly curly red hair and I'm pasty as snow so the question is what do you use to wash your greasy hair? It's funny how you use racism to get a reaction outta people isn't it? Sure works.

Do black people have to use a special shampoo to wash their nappy hair?

They use RID.

Do black people have to use a special shampoo to wash their nappy hair?

Because our hair is nappy.... duh u jus sed that out hair is nappy.

I don't see anything racist about the question.

Do black people have to use a special shampoo to wash their nappy hair?

Yep.

Got a problem with that?

Straight hair without heat???????????QUICK PLZ!!!!!!?

Okay my blow drier and my flat iron is broke too. After I wash my hair is curls up (it does NOT get nappy so dont say that) anyways how can i get it straight without heat?

Straight hair without heat???????????QUICK PLZ!!!!!!?

Well my hair is medium to long so i NEVER want to damage it with heat..what i do is i wash it then while its wet i part it on the side half way and wrap it around my head going clock wise then i put something on it to hold it that way and leave it for almost the whole day or untill it drys then i take it down and its pretty staight but it differs with every person thats just something i do but my hair is kinda different ..so i dont know something you could try..

Straight hair without heat???????????QUICK PLZ!!!!!!?

you could try a shampoo that says it makes hair straight other then that i dont think there is another way sorry

Straight hair without heat???????????QUICK PLZ!!!!!!?

Not gonna happen kiddo... If you have an iron (like for clothes) you can iron your hair on one of the lower settings. I have done that in place of my straightener before.

Straight hair without heat???????????QUICK PLZ!!!!!!?

buy a hair relaxer. just dont get burned.

Straight hair without heat???????????QUICK PLZ!!!!!!?

try a beyond the zone product. when you get out of the show run a little through your hair and comb it through. it works better with a blow dryer but because you dont have one, a comb and air dry is a good idea!!

good luck!!

Straight hair without heat???????????QUICK PLZ!!!!!!?

Ohh good one..no idea...borrow some heat from somebody !!! LOL

Straight hair without heat???????????QUICK PLZ!!!!!!?

This might sound crazy

but it worked when my

blowdryer decided it didn't

want to work anymore.

It's the Summer, so I'm sure

you've got a fan somewhere

in the house.

-Spritz your hair

with a bit of hairspray.

-Sit in front of the fan

and just keep brushing

your hair until it dries.

Because you're brushing downwards,

your hair will straighten out. And the

hairspray will prevent flyaways.

Hope this helps!!

Straight hair without heat???????????QUICK PLZ!!!!!!?

okay, sounds stupid, but if you grab a brush and stand in front of a table fan, it blows out almost the same as with a blow dryer, and most of the time, you'll get shinier hair too!

i used to do this when it was too hot to blow dry my hair. (it gets really hot in Texas in the summer! )

Good luck!!

Straight hair without heat???????????QUICK PLZ!!!!!!?

while your hair is damp put some coconut oil on it, put it in individual braids, once completely dried use a comb and a brush to straighten it...works for me and my hair is natural

Straight hair without heat???????????QUICK PLZ!!!!!!?

when every you wash your hair wrap it and put a scarf on it and let it air dry it wont be bone straight but it wont be super curly either. but make sure when you wrap it you put some kinda oil on it cuz it will get puffy

Straight hair without heat???????????QUICK PLZ!!!!!!?

Personally, I don't think anything is going to work to straighten your hair. I mean you have no blow dryer or flat iron. Then you don't even want a perm. OH, buy a wig that will help!!!

Straight hair without heat???????????QUICK PLZ!!!!!!?

I advise you buy another straightener... it'll cost about 30$

I've gone through many straighteners... including two or three professional ones. Right now I have the Remington Wet2Straight straightener (but of course I don't straighten my hair when it's wet... no matter what kind of straightener you use it damages your hair a lot!). It cost me 26.88 at walmart and is honestly the best straightener I have ever used. It takes me about twenty minutes to straighten my hair (it is very thick) and with other straighteners it took me up to 45 minutes to an hour! I really recommend you get this straightener!!

Biracial hair questions????

I have 3 biracial daughters (I'm black, my husband is white) ages 9, 5, and 1. My oldest daughter has long curly hair when its wet but as soon as it dries it seems brittle, and very nappy at times. When she was younger it was easy to wet, apply coconut oil, and go but now as it has gotten longer all I can do is braid it or put it up in a ponytail. My middle daughter has shorter, thicker hair hers is a little bit more managable, but it is brittle sometimes as well. I've tried just about every reccomended hair product on the market, and it usually only works for a while. I make sure I keep their ends trimmed, I wash and condition their hair twice a week, I have even asked my friends what they have used for their biracial children, (and four of them are hair stylists) and nothing seems to work. HELP, I am about at my wits end. Can someone reccomed something that will work?

Biracial hair questions????

Try Mizani. I saw in a mag that it straightens hair without relaxers and leaves it smooth. It is used on naturally curly hair like your daughters's. Since Their young You should Use some All About Me Texturizers. These act as a uber light treatment that makes curls easier to manage. Basically gives them a wet manageable look. Also consider the line of Mixed Chicks Products. The name says it all.

Good Luck!!!

Biracial hair questions????

try checking their diets.. brittle hair is usually caused by poor nourishment. The nappyness is genetic though. Maybe you should consider doing a big trim.. like 3-6 inches. It will improve her long hair alot. When i grew my hair really long(about 9) whenever my mom cut it she allways took off like 6 inches.

Biracial hair questions????

Even though the are bi-racial, you still need to put some kind of "grease" in their heads, because they're black and can still have a kinky hair texture even though they are mix. Not the old fashion grease your momma used to put in your head, but something like the product called Motions. It comes in a yellowish- goldish bottle with purple letters it's greaseless, it helps keep hair mositurized which is what they need.

How can i get my hair more curly with out using texturizers?

My hair is some what curly but a little nappy, i just wanted to find some ways to make it more curlier than nappy with out using any chemicals.

How can i get my hair more curly with out using texturizers?

Try one of these leave-in treatments to "stretch" out your tight curls (naps).

Neutrogena Triple Moisture Silk Touch Leave-in Cream or

S-Curl Instant "No Drip" Activator

How can i get my hair more curly with out using texturizers?

One Word Perm

How can i get my hair more curly with out using texturizers?

That's a hard one. Using no chemicals... but you could always use a curling iron. Or, when you get out of the shower, use a curling mousse to scrunch your hair. That way your hair will have more curls, and more volume. Good Luck. Hope I helped! =))

How can i get my hair more curly with out using texturizers?

curling mosse and scrunching.

How can i get my hair more curly with out using texturizers?

use curling mousse or anti frizz serum to control the nappy look...

How can i get my hair more curly with out using texturizers?

blow dry it

What do I do to make my daughters hair grow?

My 2 year old daughter is mixed, and I don't know what to about the growth of it. Do I trim it like I do with mine? She doesn't have the nasty nappy stuff either. She has my type of hair, and his curls. It's gorgeous, but I want it to grow. It is Long, but I want it longer. Any ideas?

What do I do to make my daughters hair grow?

I have a biracial daughter and I am also a Managing Cosmetologist. I don't recommend braiding it, that causes a lot of breakage, especially in a young child. I like "just for me" or "baby love" products, they can be found in the ethnic hair section of most retail stores. Keep the ends trimmed and keep her hair moisturized. After shampooing and conditioning her hair, don't towel dry it all the way, the curls will stay better if you just add leave in moisturizer and comb it from scalp to ends and leave it. Don't comb it when its drying or dry. It will get frizzy looking.

What do I do to make my daughters hair grow?

trim it every month as you would your own to remove the dead growth and help new growth come in. I'm mixed and have normal but extremely curly hair and it worked for me.

What do I do to make my daughters hair grow?

SMH. Hair is only nasty if you don't take care of it. With that being said, basically don't too much with it but keep it clean and braided. And next time get knocked up by someone with "not so nasty hair".

What do I do to make my daughters hair grow?

let her hair grow at its natural pace, she's too young for any kind of supplements or things that adults use to try and support hair growth. if her diet is healthy and she is getting everything she needs nutritionally, her hair will grow at a healthy normal rate

What do I do to make my daughters hair grow?

First of all what the H#ll do you mean with nasty hair I know a couple of non African American people with hair that that is beyond nasty so check yourself race doesn't make your hair nasty parents that don't take care of there children's hair as they should because they don't know what they are doing an have to go on line to do so do. and to answer you question try a light hair grease called TCB it works thank you.

What do I do to make my daughters hair grow?

The best thing to do is WAIT. Trimming it every six weeks WILL NOT make it grow quicker or thicker. However, trimming will prevent any split ends from traveling up the hair shaft toward the scalp.

It is recommended to get a trim every 4 weeks. Since you're waiting longer between salon visits, use leave-in conditioners FORMULATED FOR YOUR DAUGHTER'S HAIR. That's the key phrase!!!!

Just remember this....trimming the hair does not genetically alter your daughter's DNA to program her body to grow hair faster.

What do I do to make my daughters hair grow?

Tammie...is that you?????????????

African american peoples hair?

Why do most of the african american women/men have different type of hair (Also not as much hair) as other races???

their hair is all curly and it will form into an afro (A nappy one) if you just leave it without combing and stuff i guess?

African american peoples hair?

yes

African american peoples hair?

F.Y.I black ppl have a lot of hair and white people wear fake hair, weave, and extensions..and white pplz hair could turn into an afro 2

African american peoples hair?

1st of all....God gave us the hair that we have...i'm African American %26amp; Native American and my hair is not nappy...i cant turn this stuff into an afro...every race has different hair types because thats exactly what we are...DIFFERENT!

African american peoples hair?

Noobie to answer your question, black women we use alot of chemicals in our hair to cause it to straighten. Sometimes our hair gets damaged in the process and it affects the way that it grows. The weaves are only adding to the damage. You will find that black women that don't use relaxers (Straightening chemicals) in their hair it grows faster but who wants to walk around with nappy hair? That only applies to the vast majority of black women. Can't speak for them all. Hope I answered your question. My husband is white and he always asked the same thing. Why does our daughter's hair grow so fast and mine doesn't. Because she doesn't have nappy hair like mommy.

Why are asians hair always straight?

African american peoples hair?

Boy oh boy, I don't know where you got your info, but here goes... I am an Italian-Canadian, and I can achieve an afro like you cannot believe. African-American hair is different in texture, but hardly ''nappy'' as you put it. I do have a couple of clients who do wear a weave or braids, but most of my clientele who wear them are white. All cultures have different textures of hair within the culture, its genetics, NOT skin colour.

African american peoples hair?

First of all where did you get your information about the Afro? Afro's are not formed by not combing your hair. I suggest you do your research on African American Hair.

The reason why African American has different grades of hair is due to heredity, just like your race has different grades of hair. I seen a white person with bushy hair.

The reason most of us has what you called "Nappy" hair is that our hair follicles produce curly strands instead of straight.

African american peoples hair?

The correct terminology is curly hair not straight, which most caucasions have. And I disagree that the hair is nappy, you have just fed into the hype that society has given us about our culture because they do not understand, but if you just pick up a book and read and learn about different types and textures you will find out that other races have curly hair as well. And when the curl is really tight it is called over curly hair which with the right chemicals or styling aids you can achieve whatever look you want with this type of hair. I have worked in diversified salons and have done all hair types and I personally can do more styles with curly hair vs straight hair because it holds curls better. People with naturally straight hair have to get a permanent first or the hair will not hold curls. We naturally curly hair people actually have an advantage. But if you don't understand something don't criticize it by calling it a name such as (nappy) just ask your question as intelligently as you can without making it look or sound as if you are ignorant. But if it is something that intimidates you because it is so flexible and flyy then don't be afraid to say so............... Because curly hair is beautiful. Trust. And when you get a chance go and listen to a song by India Arie on AOL the title is "I am not my hair" and you will understand that it is not important to judge people by theirs...................... And then if you are still not satisfied, take it up with God for he is the one who created us all, he made us just the way he wanted us and I love it................

Help!! how ethnic hair can look nice after being wet?

im a black girl who is going on this trip with my friend...we are going to stay in orlando and go to water parks and such but the water park is only for a day(after that are land rides)..of course my stylist wont be there or anyone who remotely knows how to fix up ethnic or "kinky" hair ( but im sorta mixed so my hair is a little softer and smoother ;not nappy at all)so i was wondering if anyone knew certain styles for black girls where i can wet my hair for one day and still have it look nice after.

Help!! how ethnic hair can look nice after being wet?

you could always braid it and then wear it wavy the next day

Help!! how ethnic hair can look nice after being wet?

as a black chick the best thing I can advise is to get your hair braided before you go so when it gets wet you won't loose the style.

Help!! how ethnic hair can look nice after being wet?

I also have ethnic hair...what you could do is after the water park, make sure you wash your hair and then put in a good leave-in conditioner and braid your hair (not too tight) and then take it down in the morning. It will look wavy...hope this helps!!!!

Help!! how ethnic hair can look nice after being wet?

braids

or a smoothing serum and slick your hair back into a "curly" ponytail

Help!! how ethnic hair can look nice after being wet?

Braids are your best bet. That way, you can create different styles by letting them hang or putting them up with a scrunchie, clips or bobby pins.

Help!! how ethnic hair can look nice after being wet?

It's not possible. Black girls hair looks like a brillo pad wet or dry.

I want soft, dry, baby hair around the edges long curlish hair, not the jerry curls; what can I do?

I am an African America, never had any chemicals in my hair. Its mid length, hard, course, nappy, tough, and thick. I want it curly but not jerry curl short curly. Long soft, texture curly. What can I do?

I want soft, dry, baby hair around the edges long curlish hair, not the jerry curls; what can I do?

u need chemicals in ur hair

I want soft, dry, baby hair around the edges long curlish hair, not the jerry curls; what can I do?

chemicals straighten it then get a softer perm

I want soft, dry, baby hair around the edges long curlish hair, not the jerry curls; what can I do?

I think u should try a perm ot something. Dont get a strong perm. Try something mild or maybe start out with a kiddie perm.

I want soft, dry, baby hair around the edges long curlish hair, not the jerry curls; what can I do?

Check out the Softrning System...it might be an option( an expensive one though!) . I was considering it too but i'm reallly trying to stay a way from any chemical processes......hope this helps!

http://www.ouidad.com/curl_central/c-and...

I want soft, dry, baby hair around the edges long curlish hair, not the jerry curls; what can I do?

you should try some leave in conditioner,it works wonders!

other than that, its just natural!you cant really get that look without your hair at least getting permed [a loose one],but still.

Ughh my hair?

my hair is naturally a mess.

it's a extremely curly some places and just a little curly others and really nappy on the crown but the front of my hair stays straight.

so needless to say my hair is more than difficult.

i've tried conair anti-poof

and frizz-eeze

i've tried straightening gel and leave-in coditioners

i've used a round ceramic chi brush

which all helps "straighten my hair" but it's still poffy after blow drying it.

i also have a chi straightener that i end up using after blow drying it even though i know how it's bad for my hair.

and the straightener still doesn't work as good as i'd like.

i usually go to get my hair done but when i go swimming or when it rains i have to do it myself.

can someone please please help me!?

Ughh my hair?

round brushes suck..i hate them. chi = crap. you just pay for the name.. you do use a straight pik while u blow dry correct? ok..clearly by your avatar you are not caucasian which means the ppl above are crazy talkin about herbal essense n pantene. well you can scrunch it %26amp; will look just fine but you want it straight..for ethnic hair which is stubborn you have to turn up the heat. divide ur hair into 4 sections..%26amp; take 1 inch partings %26amp; use proclaim heat protectant comb the strand %26amp; then flat iron it go over it twice if u want. if u have the heat higher the less time the heat has to be on it..%26amp; everyone thinks turning up the heat to high is such a crime. neways try to use the proclaim cholesterol..after u wash ur hair n then dry it %26amp; flat iron. %26amp; when u are finished maybe use the glossing shine (proclaim) n rub a tiny bit on ur hair.

Ughh my hair?

Blow drying may make it worse?

Ughh my hair?

idk sorry my hairs frizzy 2!!

Ughh my hair?

Why aren't you trying to get your hair to stay curly instead of forcing, and failing, to get it to go straight?

What you should do is: shampoo and condition with Herbal Essences the one for curly hair, or the moisturizing one

They also have a hair serum to make your hair nice and shiny

Scrunch your hair with curling gel or mousse, work into the curls with your fingers

It doesn't have to look perfect, just a little messy enough to look totally hot!

Ughh my hair?

so it wont get poofy while it dries, use a wide tooth comb. To straighten, use a flat iron spray and for frizzy hair use a creme (sunsilk straightening 24/7 creme)

It works for me!

Ughh my hair?

T_T i have that same problem....but i havent tryed those products yet...i think i just might try em...

Ughh my hair?

Its all about that oil sheen, I spray some on after I blow dry, before I flat iron. Not only does it work great for my frizz, but it is cheaper too, also love smooth n shine polishing serum, put some on when it is still wet.

Ughh my hair?

I have those problems too. Mainly what I do is wash my hair w/ shampoo %26amp; CONDITIONER %26amp; let it dry by itself. (if you're in a rush try washing the night before). Then i straighten it w/ a flat iron. (make sure to turn the heat up high - this is where the conditioner helps). If you don't want to straighten it try curling the flat parts - curling iron, hot rollers, or the ones you have to sleep in all work good for me. If it's a total mess try a messy bun or ponytail - it can actually look really good it you don't try too hard!

Ughh my hair?

Okay... so you make it seem like you Relax your hair, by the way you're constantly trying to keep it straight. Well, my sister got a relaxer and she has to wrap it a lot. She uses my hair conditioners and shampoo's too which range from

Panteene

Herbel Essence (Non of your Frizzeness)

Herbel Essence (The purple Curling kind)

Garnie Fructics

Those do a lot taming her hair on rainy days. she leaves it wet sometimes when she wraps it though, and when she wakes ups it's still straight so all she has to do is go over it when the Flat Iron. She uses oils such as The shine from Garnie Fructics it's in the clear pump bottle. The Hair sheen from Panteene. My leave in coconut oil conditioner, and that green bottled olive oil. They sell all of these at Wal-Mart.

I'm a naturally curly/Wavy and own an entirely different head of hair than my sister. I've never touched a Relaxer, so I have to deal with Frizz no matter what. I leave in a lot of conditioners and when I want my hair super easy to manage I shampoo it with Baking Soda (Not a lot) and I condition it with Downy fabric softener. It works Miracles, like having your baby hair all over again! Lol.

Well I hope this helps, just use light sheens that make your hair shine because heavy oild ones like grease just sit on your hair and make pieces clump so that even though it's straight it's not soft and adoring like you want. Use it if you have too though. It reduces frizz. On Rainy days it's impossible for me not to frizz so I just wear my hair curly or it will just curl up when I walk outside. Then swimming of course your entire head is wet so you'll have to repeat the straightening process. After I swim I don't brush my hair, I wash it and leave the conditioner in all night. Even though it says rinse, it doesn't harm you if you don't blow dry it or straighten in with a non leave in conditioner. The next day I rewash it but only with Conditioner, NOT shampoo. You don't want to dry out your natural oils! Lol. Then I go straighten it.

Does fake hair make your hair grow faster?

My hair stops at my shoulders which isnt very long and i just got it permed in the beginning of January itsnow February its nappy in the roots so is it safe for me to put fake hair in it? Will it make my hair fall out?

Does fake hair make your hair grow faster?

no it shouldnt fall out. but some people say fake hair does make your hair grow. but it should be time for a perm. im getting one next week

Does fake hair make your hair grow faster?

if you are going to get your hair braided that is fine but if you are going to glue it in you need to relax that new growth or it will pull your hair right out

Does fake hair make your hair grow faster?

You can put weave/tracks/fake hair in whether it is nappy or freshly relaxed. Just know that it can cause breakage. If it is glued in, when you wash it out your hair many times is pulled out by the glue, but it is not bad. Try a glue remover and it will not be as bad. If you get it sown in, which is more expensive but lasts longer, you can still have some breakage but not as much as with glued in hair. Just do not leave sown in hair in too long, otherwise your real hair can begin to lock up and you will really have problems.

Does fake hair make your hair grow faster?

NNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Does fake hair make your hair grow faster?

To make this clear first off, nothing can make hair grow "faster" but leaving the hair alone and letting it rest will ensure that your hair will grow at its maximum potenial.

If you are going to get "faux" hair put in, make sure you relax your hair first, otherwise your hair will pull at the natural/relaxed point and break off

Second, pick human hair that doesn't rob your hair of moisture like yaki and other synthetic hair does.

Opt for sew-in or "strand bonding" techniques. They cost more than glue-in extensions, but last longer. Strand bonding costs on average 200 for a full head, but will last for 9-12 months if maintained. Its best to get a full head to let all of your hair rest.

With proper maintenance, I wish you luck! Happy growing!

How do i grow longer hair?

this is what I say about tight curls hair

if you are in an overall good general health...

all you have to do is

protect the existing hair and promote the scalp to grow healthy hair ,as we all know hair grows about 1/2 to 1%26amp;1/2 inch every month depending on many thing ....but in general every one can grow hair if followed a good suitable regemine

-The first step to growing long hair is, believe it or not, to put your hairbrush in a hard to reach location and forget that you own it. Did you notice the mattress that your brush steals every time you brush your hair? Yeah. Isn't that a little alarming to you? It's ripping your hair out of your head everyday. Keep the brush hidden away for dire emergencies, say, Mr. President just pulled into the driveway and you look like hell.

or just put your hair into braids to dease manipulation

This is the most important part. when you Take a shower, wash hair, then apply a healthy coat of conditioner to all the hair on your head. Take the very wide comb in hand and now begin to comb the conditioner through every strand of hair. Start at the bottom tip of your hair and work your way up, through any tangles, to the scalp. This ensures that ALL of your hair is, in fact, conditioned like it should be, and also that it is free of tangles. You'll lose a few hairs as usual, sure, but not fluffy fur ball you USED to lose with the old brush. When rinsing the conditioner out, try to use the coolest water you can stand so that while the bulk of the conditioner goes down the drain, a fine protecting layer will remain on your precious strands all the day long. If the water is too hot, you will lose this loving sheath of cream rinse. What you do with the rest of your shower is up to you. or if you are using the crown %26amp; glowry technique , it means you need more care to wash a braided hair and be paitent while rains hair.

always keep hair moisturized and keep the ends sealed

never go to sleep without a head scarf "satin or silk" to prevent breakage

lets not forget about vitamins , menirals supplements

%26amp; silica

How do i grow longer hair?

Well let me help you out because I went through the same thing as you. Well first my hair was above my neck then I keep it braided for 6 or 7 months, that keeps heat, and hair gel from braking your hair off. Getting my braids re done each week and getting my ends clipped. Shampoos I used was Slik Elements and conditioner. I combed and brushed it while the shampoo and conditioner was in there. I shampooed it twice first time is to lift the dirt the second is to rinse it out. Drink lots of water. And for those 7 months I did that and still do it now, then I got a relaxer last week and my hair now became thick and goes past my shoulders. When my sister was doing my hair she couldn't believe it! I use Olive Oil relaxers that are natural so it is better that average plus they don't burn.

In high school (Which I'm a Junior) I wear my hair still in weave because it helps it grow, or other people wear it in ponytails or in a wrap.

I would not suggest the Luster's pink oil. It will dry her hair out even more.

try Carol's Daughter's product. It's natural and she also has a baby product line.

I am afro american, my little baby daughter has dry nappy hair can anyone knows a good hair creme to use?

yes, Africa's Best works the best on anybody's hair of the African American ethnicity. Also try a gentle touch-up or conditioner to ease it up a bit. Try a deep condition or use a hot comb, but remeber not to use heat to much. Also try any product that has been out for a while, for those or much more effective. Mr. Miracle products are my favorite. They provide a great cream, but also provide hair growth so tremendously. Hope I could help

Sorry for my ignorance: but what is nappy hair and why is it racist?

It's okay you don't know, you don't know. Nappy hair means that you a person has so many naps and knots in their hair that they either can't get a comb or brush through it, or it's a difficult task. It's racist (I believe) because white slave owners use to refer to the slaves as Nappy hair compared to the whites who had straight hair. Although people think that I'm mixed because my hair is very staight for a black girl.

Oh and ******** are Animals, you should stop talking about your family like that. The only ******* I see is you.

Sorry for my ignorance: but what is nappy hair and why is it racist?

Technically it isn't, white people can have nappy hair too. It was an insensitive thing to say, and probably had some racist intent. Caling them Ho's didn't help matters either.

How can I grow long hair?

I am black and have natural hair. No lye, no dye. It is naturally curly, not nappy or kinky. But it breaks off especially at the crown in the back. What can I do to grow it long? How can I grow long hair?

Well it's not going to grow all out in 1 night or so ya know. But what speeds up the process is if you massage your head. It stimulates your scalp and it lets your hair grow faster. And take care of your hair too. Don't put hair products in there because your hair won't grow then. Hope this answer helps.

How can I grow long hair?

Hi there

Growing hair can be difficult and requires a lot of attention. You need to see a hairdresser and get some advive. I had trouble growing my hair for years ends kept splitting, drying out and breaking. I was using the wrong hair products and not getting regular trims like every six weeks to stop the ends from splitting

My hair is wavey so does take longer to grow. I get trims now every six weeks and apply a daily moisturiser to the ends. You need to do a treatments approx every week. These can be done at home or at your hairdresser.

Diet is also important factor. needs to be healthy and balanced. You can check your local health food store for supplements to promote healthy hair.

It takes time and is all work but well worth the effort to get the results you want. Hair extensions are costly and damaging to your hair. Good luck with it all.

Is there a specific affordable hair straightener that you recommend?

I'm in a desperate need of a hair straightener. I have straight hair, and it looks nice when its wet, but once it gets dry it gets kind of nappy. I'm tired of adding so much products in my hair that it makes it seem as i haven't showered in a while :( I need help! Any suggestions?! Thanx.

Is there a specific affordable hair straightener that you recommend?

I use a Remington Wet 2 Straight and it works great. I have straight hair also but from years of curling it up I have a weird curl at the end.

Permanently straightening my hair?

My hair is naturally curly and i cant find a style for it. Its very frizzy. I used a straightener before and when i do it looks and feels great. Its soft and theres no nappy split ends. Or no frizz. Im thinking of permanently straightening it. My hair is very healthy i never dye it. Yet recently it was that new herbal essence stuff. Im planning on doing it before going back to school. Is it ok to get it done at wal-mart? For 40 bucks? She said that it would stay starightened until i grow out my curly hair. Theres this new pantene pro-v restorative that stops breaking and im planning on starting using it by the end of this week, and following up until i get it permanently straightened. I cant do much with my hair but comb it and hair spray it. To stop the frizz but its just old and i need a new change for my hair. Whats the best way to go about this? Should i even think about dying my hair before straightening it? I'ii keep up with the pro-v stuff if I do starighten it.

Permanently straightening my hair?

I also have very curly %26amp; frizzy hair which I hate and therefore, have straightened.

I can't imagine what straightening system they are using at Walmart for $40. I have my hair permanently straightened with the Japanese straightning system but it costs $500 every 6 months.

However, if you do go to a reputable salon and have the Japanese straightning done, I highly recommend it. I have been doing this for 5 years and my hair is very healthy and very soft (even more so than when it was curly), it also looks great. The roots do grow in curly and I have them touched up every 5 months - in between touch ups I just run over them quickly w/ a hair iron.

As for dying you hair, I would not dye it a lighter color before the straightening - the bleach and chemicals are just too much processing. I had my hair highlighted once before the straightening and the pieces that were highlighted were always a little frizzy and dry.

However, you can go darker. I have since put in lowlights and they work fine when straightened.

Permanently straightening my hair?

I personally love curl hair! I wish I had curly hair, but it sounds like you don't like it...I would say do what makes you happy! IF you wanna straighten your hair, do it. I know how it feels to always be unhappy with how your hair looks. Hair is important, if it'll look better straight, then go for it girl!

Permanently straightening my hair?

I have naturally curly hair too...my hair is constantly in ringlets and corkscrews, and i LOVE it!...Instead of trying to straighten it, why don't you get a nice hair trimming and use frizz ending products from Pantene or Sunsilk? Also, it sounds like you need a deep conditioner or hot oil treatment...trust me, hairspray is about the WORST thing you can use on our type of hair...the alcohol in the spray will dry your hair out even more....Seriously, just cut your hair to shoulder length and start that pantene restorative product you were talking about...also, ONLY comb your hair when it's wet...raking through dry hair will only cause breakage...

Permanently straightening my hair?

realize that if your hair is relaxed chemically you will have to do the roots every 6 weeks and that your hair will become porous.... do some research before hand...

if chemically relaxed u will have to wait 2 weeks for a dye job

I would suggest using a flat iron...there are some great ones out there...to get the sleek look your looking for

African american women...do you dislike your nappy hair...are you wear it with pride?

Yes I wear my kinky hair with pride. I've been natural for 8 years now. When we were kids, we didn't know any better, our parents slapped a perm in our heads because thats what their moms did, and so on. When you grow up, you realize that Madame CJ Walker created a chemical to essentially burn the crap out of your naturally curly hair, in an attempt to be like White people because Blacks were always told how ugly they and their hair was.

This is 2008. Get the kinks out of your mind, not your hair people. God doesn't make mistakes, there is nothing wrong with your hair. If God wanted you to look White, he would have made you a White person! Stop burning it every month, thats pure insanity because perm has some of the same chemicals that are found in DRANO. Would you put Drano in your dang head?

Great quote:

When you go through all your life processing and abusing your hair so it will look like the hair of another race of people then you are making a statement and the statement is clear.

African american women...do you dislike your nappy hair...are you wear it with pride?

- I went natural last December and I am proud of it; matter of fact I read an article stating more and more black women are going natural

African american women...do you dislike your nappy hair...are you wear it with pride?

first of all my hair is not nappy it is curly there is a difference yes i keep my hair natrual all the time

African american women...do you dislike your nappy hair...are you wear it with pride?

Nappy? I think the words your looking for is KINKYor COURSE hair.

African american women...do you dislike your nappy hair...are you wear it with pride?

Not all of us have or refer to our hair as "nappy." But I am very proud of the hair I was given. I can't change that and neither can anyone else so why would I be bothered trying to look like something I'm not?

African american women...do you dislike your nappy hair...are you wear it with pride?

I don't dislike my naturally when not processed kinky/coarse hair. But my mother permed it from 18 months on and this is the hair I'm used to styling. I went naptural about 5 years back, but because I don't know how to cornrow or style my hair when in it's natural state I went back to the perm. Just my personal style preference.

African american women...do you dislike your nappy hair...are you wear it with pride?

Just wanna say that I looove (not in a pervert way) nappy hair.

I still find it hard to understand why women with kinky hair would relax it so often.

Occasional straightening is alright. But why (chemically) relax it too much?

I wish I saw more kinky hair, but here in the city where I've been living for over three years I've never seen it at all...

How else can I wear my hair?

I'm african american and I have this weird type of hair... it's straight near the roots and bushy (almost nappy) on the ends. I was just wanting some ideas on how to wear my hair. I'll look like Maxwell, the singer (anyone remember him??) if I leave my hair out or even if I try to curl it, it still just frizzes up. I have to really put some heat on it to make it stay, and that just damages it. Braiding it (in any style) only works for about a week, then it frizzes up and looks messy (to me, anyway). I used to wear my hair in an afro a few years ago, but does that work for a mid 20's mother of two? Is the afro even still "in"?? If you know of a website or magazine where I can see some pics, that would help alot.

My hair is really damaged?

i just recently got a perm, but now i have alot of slip ends and my hair is dry...i need to know of a hair care product that can bring moisture to my hair and something that i can put in my hair right when i get out of the shower without getting nappy or frizzy

My hair is really damaged?

Did your stylist trim your hair directly after perming it? If not, then this is your reason. The ends get fried and they need to be trimmed if you want your perm to look good. That's what they did with mine, I have very dry hair naturally and my perm doesn't even appear to have damaged my hair...but that may be because they trimmed it.

Try Pantene Relaxed %26amp; Natural, comes in a brown bottle. It doesn't damage your hair like some people say, because I've used it before...my head didn't fall off...

My hair is really damaged?

Use olive oil...yup, the kind you cook with. Just add a few drops to the palm of your hand and run it through your hair. Just scrunch your hair with the olive oil and it's best to trim off the ends, that's the only way to get rid of split ends....they tend to get really frizzy when they are damaged. You don't have to wash the olive oil out, just use it as a styling product. I have naturally curly hair and that's what helps me when I dye my hair!

My hair is really damaged?

ok, first of all.. to get rid of split ends you simply need to go get a trim, that should fix the split end problem. As for the dryness, get some coconut oil and slather it onto your hair and make sure to get it into your roots and your ends too. then mix up some egg yolk and put that in just as you put the coconut oil in. finally take some handfuls of mayonaise and glob it into you hair. Leave all this in your hair for a few hours then wash it out and your hair should be MUCHHHH more hydrated! as for the frizzieness, john frieda frizz serum, garnier fructies hard curl, or V05 curvaceous curl should keep your hair from frizzing! hope this helps you!!!

Straightening curly hair?

i have curly hair at about medium length (like my avatar), not super curly or nappy, its just regularly curly, but i am sick of curly hair and i want it straight. but every time i straighten my hair it sticks up and is verrry hard to keep down. is there any way to get it straight without it sticking up and being stiff?

Straightening curly hair?

CHI straightner.

Straightening curly hair?

your avatar's hair is sticking up

Straightening curly hair?

wat u can do is go to a hairstylist or letit dry at nite and in the morning straighten it

Straightening curly hair?

You may have to let it grow a bit longer in ordre to straighten it and not have it stick up.

If you are looking for a permanent change, you could look into japanese hair straightening.

Straightening curly hair?

if u want straight hair use gel and i mean alot

Straightening curly hair?

well you can try creams to help straghten your hair or maybe brush it and then straighten it

Straightening curly hair?

When I straighten it I use got2b Pomade I believe [not so sure about spelling] and its like a wax substance. Its pretty cheap about $5 per bottle.

Straightening curly hair?

u know....i actually like guys better w/ curly-ish hair. unless they're emo....and i doubt ur emo.

there's this one hairstyle for really curly hair.....just let it grow out more a bit %26amp; ooohhh mmmaannn, u'll look like this one really hot guy in my school....ooohhh yeeeaa.

WELL GOOD LUCK WITH UR STRAIGHTENING!!!

Straightening curly hair?

best thing is to go to ur closest hair salon/ make-up %26amp; hair produces shops, %26amp; u ask them what would b the best for ur hair.

i know from experience, my mum's hair would NEVA get straight, she has curly wavy hair %26amp; becauce she gets rly confussed why her hair wont stay down with using like every product, bla bla bla...she finaly went to ask about her hair @ a salon.

She uses this really good hair straightener. Its one of the most expensive. %26amp; pluss u need to buy all these hair sprays to keep ur hair healthy, because if u hair straighten too much, ur hair will affortunally break/ well fall out.

(Buy good hair straightener %26amp; good hair sprays)

How should I braid lock my hair?

I know the basics: section, braid, twist as the new growth comes out, but how large should my sections be? I was told I can't have small ones because of the texture of my hair; they'll break. Please! I've seen people with hair waaay nappier than mine with small locks and their hair is fine. I need to hear from African American women that have locks. My hair is thick, 100% natural, and coarse, but not too nappy at all. Any advice on the size I should have would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

How should I braid lock my hair?

How about do your hair how ever you would like. Sound good? Because it sounds good to me. I think people need to stop relying on other people to tell you how to dress and look. Lets be independent okay people?! Alot of people today are so dependent on others that it's sickening! It's sickening that people can't even decide what to look like.

Want my opinion? Of course you did otherwise you wouldn't have posted this question. My opinion is that you need to stop stressing about the way you look. If that is the only way you can get people to talk to you or something then that is very sad!

How should I braid lock my hair?

it can be small just make sure it's not tiny

Hair Trouble I have a good graid of Hair BUT !?

Hi. I think what you need is a good moisturizer for your hair. Shampoo and conditioner can only help your hair be clean and prepare it for styling, but the styling products you use defines your curls. I suggest you go for more products that have no petroleum and mineral oil, products with less chemicals and more natural ingredients. This has worked for me. Here they are:

www.curls.biz

www.honeyfig.com

www.sistasplace.com

www.curlicious.com

www.qhemetbiologics.com

www.longlovelylocks.com

www.naanishoppe.com

www.curljunkie.com

The only thing is that these products are targeted for women, like most products anyway. But they can be used for men with curly, kinky, coily and wavy hair. Its just men dont really care for hair like women do. You know what Im talking about. If men were like women with hair, they'd be called fruity. But men have hair problems too. So I would suggest that you get a moisturizing cream you can put in your hair when wet, and a leave-in conditioner to spray on your hair to revive the curl.

You should also read the hair care tips they have if you are interested in how to apply the product or how you can take care of your hair and enhance the curls your hair really has. Some people use gel, so they have on the websites too. Not that nasty flaky gel either, the more natural gel. Hope this helps. God bless.

Any hair styles for a thirteen year old?

Hey everyone! I have short hair, but I realy don't know what to do with it. My hair reaches to the middle of my neck, it is kinda nappy, and I don't know how to braid or make buns. I just want to make simple hair styles that I could do in fifteen minutes or less, and that I could wear to school. Also, my edges are very short, and I need gel so it don't look bushy in the front. Someone please help me, because my hair be looking a mess when i go to shool, and I know people be talking about me and my hair because every time I walk by they laugh. Thanx! Oh yeah, and my face is kinda round, but no that much, because I am over wieght

Any hair styles for a thirteen year old?

idk maybe put swept away bangs cuz u really cant do nething wit short hair but make it simple or look on the internet or ask ur hairstylist if u have one

Any hair styles for a thirteen year old?

I'm a boy that is your age. A lot of my girlfriends, have your same exact hair.(Except it wasn't nappy.) Get a very good quality hair shampoo and use it regularly. Your hair won't be nappy and you can style it. Just like my icon, swift your front hair to the side a bit, and your back hair to. But don't put your hair behind your ears, unless you want to and you look good in it. Your hair will be,"stylish." I hope this works for you. Trust me on this!

Any hair styles for a thirteen year old?

i agree get some swept bangs i am 13 too and it is really cute for school and its simple

Any hair styles for a thirteen year old?

Don't worry about it I am a little chubby also, but I have a lot of friends. When I first moved to me new school I didn't have any friends I was frumpy and fat. I dieted just a tad, had some nice clothes, did my make up and had nice hair. I instanly made friends after I improved myself. Take a little hair from the front of your hair line and poof it a little and pin it with a bobby pin on top of your head its really cute

How can i get baby hair?

I used to have really good baby hair but now itz really nappy b/c i was not takein care of it for a while so wat should i use to get it back(i'm a black male so i would like to use stuff that are 4 men if possible)

How can i get baby hair?

Take a toothbrush or a baby brush and brush down from the hairline.

How can i get baby hair?

LMAO...I cant believe that you still care about baby hair...LOL...I havent heard of anyone concerned about in a long long while. Well here is how you get it....

If you brush your hair back in a pony tail or as close to it as your can get, you will notice your knappy edges...dont fret this isnt baby hair.

Simply brush down the soft hair underneath your edges, there lies your baby hair. If you want more or you want it to be a little more noticeable, you can include a little bit or your edges. You should gell this hair down and brush it with a wet brush. Then put some type of stockin cap or wave cap on.

That should do the trick. Just keep at it

Are blacks the only ones that have type 4 hair?

For the description of Type 4 hair, see: http://www.naturallycurly.com/hair-types

Not just curly (type 3), but kinky / nappy (type 4).

In Indonesia there are native people with type 4 hair, but they usually look similar to Africans.

Thanks in advance for your responses!

Are blacks the only ones that have type 4 hair?

Nope, my hubby is jewish and he has that kind of hair too.

Why do Black people have nappy hair?

That's weird?!? What the hell.. lol

Why do Black people have nappy hair?

You are being too stereotypical. I'm African-American and have soft, manageable hair and know of several other African-American with "good" hair.

Why do Black people have nappy hair?

"Good hair" is an archaic and misrepresenting term used by the unenlightened. "Nappy", "woolly" or "kinky" hair is simply another variation of how hair grows out of the head and it is no better or worse than any other hair - of course depending on the type of brain that is underneath it. Report It

Why do Black people have nappy hair?

Nappy hair texture is determined by the circumference and angle of the hair follicles in the scalp. The flatter and more angled the follicle, the curlier/kinkier the hair. Report It

Why do Black people have nappy hair?

Further, people of African descent developed this type of hair as a natural defense against the blazing hot sun. There was no need for long hair in a hot environment, and by being "puffy and standing away from the head, cool air was better able to reach the scalp. Just say "No" to ignorance. Report It

Why do Black people have nappy hair?

I'm black and Latino roots every black person does not have nappy hair who cares any way how a persons hair is my hair is very wavy my mom has cUrly it depends on ur back ground some Africans Americans have more black ans-tor than others i guess Report It

Why do Black people have nappy hair?

i've always wondered that

Why do Black people have nappy hair?

The shape of the holes in your scalp from which hair grows. The more rounded the straighter the hair (like Asians). The more oval the curlier, or 'nappier' the hair (like Africans, and little white me!).

Why do Black people have nappy hair?

It's not weird and not critizing anyone. It is however a valid question. Africans and African Americans do have it, its in the genes. If you believe in God, well God wanted us to be like this.

Why do Black people have nappy hair?

what a dumb f*ckin question

listen up its called evolution black people are black because its a trait that won over being white while living in africa because the climate called for nappy hair and dark skin because that protects from the environment better than strait hair and light skin

just like nordic people usualy have strait hair and light skin bevcause the cold northern climate is better for lighter skin and strait hair

your a moron for askin such a dumb question and i hope someone educates you because you seem to be very very very stupid

Why do Black people have nappy hair?

Not all black people have nappy hair.So what ever.Black is beautiful.

Why do Black people have nappy hair?

Go to bed you dumb child.

Why do Black people have nappy hair?

Why do you have nappy content hair? eg. you are full of sh*t.

Why do Black people have nappy hair?

My hair is not nappy you bastard.I think being prejudice isn't going to get you anywhere in this world.

Why do Black people have nappy hair?

Not all black people have nappy hair, there are actually white people with kinky hair also. But anyways, I like my hair I wouldn't change it with chemicals and combs.

Why do Black people have nappy hair?

you can't ask questions like that! thats racist! your ****** stupid and i bet your parents are too for teaching you to be racist.

Why do Black people have nappy hair?

no not "lol" and most of us dont have nappy hair i have wayvy and curly hair and im all black...

Why do Black people have nappy hair?

Why is it weird if that's how their hair grows out of their head? It's just simply a different texture of hair that is very tightly coiled.

Why do Black people have nappy hair?

because their hair folicle is flat, not round.

flat hair folicle produces nappy hair. ;-)

now, you may ask why do black people have flat hair folicle?

it's in their genes.

but other race may produce the same hair.

Why do Black people have nappy hair?

you are a bigot. i feel very sorry for you for asking such a stupid question. i hope to god that you are a kid who doesn't know any better.

Why do Black people have nappy hair?

Firstly not all black ppl have nappy hair. Secondly ppl other than black ppl have nappy hair. Last but not least, why is nappy hair such a negative thing? I see it more as a characteristic just like curly, wavy or straight. Remove the kinks from your mind not your hair.

African American Hair?

I am trying not to put heat to my hair and just wash it, but if it gets nappy what should I do without perming it or using the hot comb?

African American Hair?

It's really hard to keep your hair from napping when you don't want to use heat. To keep your hair moisturized use a leave-in conditioner, the Olive Oir brand works very well. Moisterized hair napps less. Also you can brush your hair when it's 70-80% dry with a blow dryer on low heat. I find, personally, that after shampooing and putting in moisterizer to use a wide tooth comb to comb out my hair from the roots in the shower. This prevents the napps from getting really bad when I get out and it's dry. Hope that helps!

African American Hair?

relax it!

African American Hair?

I can only recommend you Dark %26amp; Lovely hair products and after washing your hair with it, putting a leave-in conditioner and letting your hair dry for several days attached until it actually is dry and finally straightening it with a good quality hair straightener. It has worked 100% for a friend of mine, who has very frizzy/dry/thick/long hair.

Hope this helps!

How can i keep my hair curly after i wash it?

im black and my hair is naturally curly.how can i keep my hair curly after i wash it without it looking nappy?

How can i keep my hair curly after i wash it?

I think you need to find products suited for black peoples hair. However, I think you need gel to keep it from frizzing. Good luck!

How can i keep my hair curly after i wash it?

dry it with a hair dryer

How can i keep my hair curly after i wash it?

use a good, non-drying gel. Try the fantasic ic sparkelites gel. Add a little leave-in conditioner; I recommend garnier fructis leave-in, and that should help it.

also, if you wash your hair with just conditioner, as opposed to shampoo, that kind of keeps it curly and less frizzy.

How can i keep my hair curly after i wash it?

totally twisted gel from herbal essence. its amazing and smells good. i have curly hair too but i am white so i dont know if you wold have the exact same results but you should try it and see. if not no worrys..its cheap.

How can i keep my hair curly after i wash it?

Roller set it after you wash it

How can i keep my hair curly after i wash it?

maybe you can put a conditioner in it so when you wash it it will stay culry

Whats the difference between permanent hair relaxers and permanent hair straightening?

my hair is curly/ wavy and in some places its nappy. and its a little longer then shoulder length.

im thinking about getting it relaxed but i just want to know what the difference is between the two.

does relaxing make it straight? or does it just relax the curls, so they become wavy?

how do i know which one is right for me?

thanks for your input.

Whats the difference between permanent hair relaxers and permanent hair straightening?

Neither of the first two people answered your question, so I will. My friend is thinking about getting her heair relaxed. I also asked her what the difference was and she told me there wasn't one. I believe she's a reliable source, so I'll answer your question: There is no difference.

Whats the difference between permanent hair relaxers and permanent hair straightening?

grow it out and use defrizz cream...put it in a pony tail and let it go or just wear it down....dont go throught the trouble

Whats the difference between permanent hair relaxers and permanent hair straightening?

My hair the same way, I was also thinking about doing the same to my hair.

Whats the difference between permanent hair relaxers and permanent hair straightening?

there is no difference between the two, but the terms they used is for different type of hair. Both works depending on how much straight you wish to obtain.

Whats the difference between permanent hair relaxers and permanent hair straightening?

hi there as far as I know there is no difference .they will both straighten your hair ...

My hair..what can i use?

my hair is nice but mixed hair, it's curly and long, but the curls are small and get nappy. what shampoos, conditioners, products can i use to make my hair shine with beauty at a reasonable price??

also if you have hair do's that i can do with my hair can you let me know so i can try it in my hair...

My hair..what can i use?

You could try some leave in conditioners(one that you can spray on and then one like a palm aide) and a liquid shine for your hair. Any products by optium, kera care, and proclaim work get! But the key to great hair is conditioner and little to no heat. And when I say no heat I mean blow dryers and non ceremic curling/flat irons. They dry your hair out.If you wash your hair alot maybe stop doing that. Try some fun up do's and pony tails and add hair decor like flowers! Their is really no wrong way to do a pony tail, just play with it until you like it! Or go to a book store and look through the hair magazines and find things that you like and try them. Good luck and I love to rock fun do's like mohaw's and wild messy pony tails! It is all in your attitude if you think it is cute so will others, believe me I do it all the time!

My hair..what can i use?

I have weird curly, but slightly fluffy hair and I use sunsilk for curly hair shampoo and conditioner and Frizz Ease Dream Curls spray when I blow dry it. Seems to do the trick...

My hair..what can i use?

I think all the white rain products are the best try them

My hair..what can i use?

it sounds dorky but it works i promise! wash your haur with tressemme shampoo and conditioner.then i used my sisters barbie shampoo for soft good smelling hair.good luck

My hair..what can i use?

Try Dove or Garnier Fructis. They are both great products.

Don Imus "nappy-headed hos" comment REALLY racist??

So, Don Imus, on his nationally syndicated talk show this past weekend, while speaking of the mostly black Rutgers female basketball team "Those are some nappy-headed hos there." Read all about it here: http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20070409/ap_e...

So, my question is, is this REALLY a racist statement?? Blacks across America call each other "*****r" all the time - and its not considered a racist remark. So, keeping in mind Don Imus' picture (found next to the above article) - isnt Dom Imus a "nappy-headed ho" himself??? So, not racist!!!!

Seriously, I dont know who has worse hair - Imus or Trump.

What say you??

Don Imus "nappy-headed hos" comment REALLY racist??

I support Don Imus. He is falling victim to a hit being put on him by the shakedown mafia.

My god, have any of his critics ever actually listened to the show? I do every morning, and I can't think of one group he HASN'T attacked.

People need to take a relaxer and chill out.

Don Imus "nappy-headed hos" comment REALLY racist??

It was rude but certainly not racist. If they say that being called nappy headed is racist then they are just admitting they are nappy headed. Doesn't make sense to me. I agree, maybe kind of rude but not racist. Whatever happened to free speech? Report It

Don Imus "nappy-headed hos" comment REALLY racist??

Um, there was more said than nappy headed hos. Do you know what a "*******" is? Here this may help: http://www.thefreedictionary.c...

http://www.urbandictionary.com...

Someone commented on "jigaboos vs. wannabes" in reference to the B-Ball matchup. Report It

Don Imus "nappy-headed hos" comment REALLY racist??

Also this man admitted to hiring people to do quote"N****r jokes" such as one on the Williams Sisters (Venus %26amp; Serena) being 'animals' more suited to pose for Nat'l Geographic rather than Playboy. Link: http://www.annoy.com/sectionle...

Time to stop playing dumb. The man's a racist. Report It

Don Imus "nappy-headed hos" comment REALLY racist??

ALL comics use race as a platform. Why do a few comments get singled out %26amp; BAM, Sharpton %26amp; Jesse are crying racist? Why is it o.k. that many rap lyrics are sexist? Why is it o.k. for Jesse Jackson to call Jews kikes and NY "Hymey Town"? HE is a racist. Report It

Don Imus "nappy-headed hos" comment REALLY racist??

What Imus said was considered RACIST because he is a White man. If a black man or woman would have said this remark. The media and possibly Mr. Sharpton would have not made such a big @$$ deal with the Don. The only difference between the Imus remarks and the Hip-Hop is that Imus does not rap. Report It

Don Imus "nappy-headed hos" comment REALLY racist??

If a black radio personality made this comment, would we still be enduring all of this media bull****??????? Does middle America really give a rat's a**??? The media spoonfeeds this stuff to boost ratings, period! Report It

Don Imus "nappy-headed hos" comment REALLY racist??

N****R is a word given to black people by the white people and it was used by them as a derogatory word used to insult and offend black people. I believe black people has to stop using this word because other races believe that they have the right to use it because we use it among ourselves. Report It

Don Imus "nappy-headed hos" comment REALLY racist??

The comment was very sexist but was by no means racist. The phrase "nappy haired" is not only applied to people of African descent and those who say it is are simply blinded by their own preconceived notions!!!! Report It

Don Imus "nappy-headed hos" comment REALLY racist??

Institutional racism has always been a part of America, adversely affecting us all. Unlike Imus, no major sponsor or network has ever offered JJ, Al, black rappers or anyone else of color a main stream game or talk show. Report It

Don Imus "nappy-headed hos" comment REALLY racist??

Imus got fired because the sponsors pulled their ads.

CBS had to let him go.

this isn't about racism, it's about money Report It

Don Imus "nappy-headed hos" comment REALLY racist??

It was a rude comment. Racist, I dunno....

Don Imus "nappy-headed hos" comment REALLY racist??

I totally agree wit ya there are people on both sides that can be racist. blacks on the other hand can find it to be paralyzing when someone of another race say's something they don't want to hear. all the other races are cool with a little banter back and forth. it's not all black people who feel this way. there are alot of blacks who will attack back with there own remarks. i'm black and i'm tired of this race crap!!!

Don Imus "nappy-headed hos" comment REALLY racist??

These politically correct witch hunters are really getting out of control! Is there NO freedom of speech in this country any more??? He did not even say ****er or coon , etc!!! ( Which he should have a right to say if rap artists can dis whites and call us cracker, white boy, etc. ) Can anyone answer why should only certain people have true free speech?

My reaction to Sharpton ,Jackson and others who call for the persecuted whites to not have fee speech is --Screw You enemies of logic and freedom, you winy little cry babies! cry and get your way or you will get out the R word, Racist-- OOOHH NOOOO!!!

Don Imus "nappy-headed hos" comment REALLY racist??

Duh. You DO have freedom of speech, but you can't say whatever the heck you want on your job. It's your employers who bear your words if you say or do something stupid. If you go out and get drunk and have sex with 10 hookers they can fire you. It is their right especially if it is for their reputation and honor.

Al Sharpton and Jackson aside, these girls were not connected to them in anyway. So leave them Sharpton and Jackson) out of it. It's not about those two. The wide majority of black people don't even take them seriously anyway. Everyone knows they are oppurtunists. These girls are in the championships and they've done something GOOD. No one deserves to be belittled for doing something good and positive, especially if they're just kids.

I think the most offensive part was calling them ho's. I mean he's a grown man who obviously doesnt use that word alot. So why say it then? I think it's disrepectful towards women. It's like if someone said on radio or tv, "look at those rubgy players, those sweaty sl uts."

Assuming that just because they are women that they are sexually promiscuous is just in bad taste.

Rumor has it Imus has been in bad taste with alot of stupid remarks.

Come on. It's college sports and they are young women and it's uncalled for by grown men

Don Imus "nappy-headed hos" comment REALLY racist??

It was sexist. If someone calls your mom a HO. You'd be ready to fight. What is so bad is that no one is putting the emphasis of sexist instead of racist. Not even the feminist.

Don Imus "nappy-headed hos" comment REALLY racist??

he said they look tough and have tatoos, than someone said those are some rough hos and he added those are some nappy headed hos. i believe that rutgers has white women on the team as well. of course we will assume he meant only the black females.........now al sharpton wants him ousted from his job.......hey scumbag, why dont you get a job first than talk about other people being fired! all of these shock jocks live for the moment to be put on the front page of every newspaper. i cant believe people are not used to this by now!

Don Imus "nappy-headed hos" comment REALLY racist??

Rude-yeah. Racist-no.

Exactly what in it had anything at all to do with race? The nappy headed part? Anyone can have nappy hair. HO? Black women dont have the copyright on that one either.

Is every girl on that team black? (im not certain).

Regardless, people like Jesse Jackson (i refuse to call him Reverend-he is not one) have no room at all to talk. His comments regarding Jewish people-calling them Kykes and Hymies, he has no room to talk at all.

Don Imus "nappy-headed hos" comment REALLY racist??

Not racist!-I use the word nappy to describe my bad hair days and hos may be rude. However, I hear and see worse in rap songs and videos. They are hypocrites if you ask me (and you did). I think Jackson and Sharpton are the real racists. Whenever a white person insults a black person - its racist. Sometimes there is more to it than that. I guess if there wasn't anymore racism, they would be out of a job.

Don Imus "nappy-headed hos" comment REALLY racist??

Don Imus did say something wrong. However, why is it that black rappers don't have to apologize to Al Sharpton, or any other black people for singing vile and nasty songs about their own people?

Have you ever really heard the lyrics for popular rap songs? You dont have to listen to them, just do a search online for rap lyrics and you'll see.

One day I was channel surfing on the XM radio stations, and I came across a rap station. I was disgusted by the lyrics. They talk about suck my d#$k, ***, ho, etc etc. etc etc. Then last summer my black neighbors who thank God have moved out, would continually blast nasty rap songs at all hours of the day and night "I was getting some hed, Im in love with a stripper" were the lyrics I heard coming out of their window all while they have 3 preschool aged children.

Al Sharpton should have a meeting with every one of these popluar rappers on TV and ask them to apologize to black people, especially black women if he also wants Don Imus to apologize.

Don Imus "nappy-headed hos" comment REALLY racist??

Certainly it was a stupid, insulting comment. I don't think it's a racist comment, however.

It wasn't a comment referring to the player's race but rather their collective hairstyles. Being "nappy-headed" is not the exclusive domain of blacks (although there are plenty who could be regarded as that); there are others who are not black who could be regarded as such as well.

The "ho" comment, I don't really know why that was said, unless Imus just spit it out off the cuff. I do know that comments were also made of several of the women being heavily tattooed and appearing "rough-looking" but how that would make them "hos" I don't know.

That being said, Sharpton, Jackson, et al are looking for another opportunity to further their agenda by demanding Imus' firing and putting another "whitey", "honky", or whatever in his/her place, all in the name of political correctness.

Imus will continue his career in radio, whether he's fired for this or not.

Don Imus "nappy-headed hos" comment REALLY racist??

Yes it is. Simply put: he wasn't referring to the white girls on the team. It all started in Slavery. It was your parents' parents' doing. White people will never know the hurt of remarks concerning their skin. Black is negative and white is positive. Of all the Slave's since the beginning of time, the Slave of America were treated the worse. White will always hate Blacks and Black will always have self hatered. It's a sad cycle. White should have not being so mean and lazy doing the time of Slavery. Whites should have worked themselves instead of stealing people making them do all the work. Let's not go into the raping of the women. Silly people, how do you think there are so many different shades of Black people?
