I am an African America, never had any chemicals in my hair. Its mid length, hard, course, nappy, tough, and thick. I want it curly but not jerry curl short curly. Long soft, texture curly. What can I do?

chemicals straighten it then get a softer perm

I think u should try a perm ot something. Dont get a strong perm. Try something mild or maybe start out with a kiddie perm.

Check out the Softrning System...it might be an option( an expensive one though!) . I was considering it too but i'm reallly trying to stay a way from any chemical processes......hope this helps!

you should try some leave in conditioner,it works wonders!

other than that,its just natural!you cant really get that look without your hair at least getting permed [a loose one],but still.
