Texturizing nappy hair?

What would a texturizer look like if applied to natural nappy (African) hair? I have a lot of hair and it's impossible to deal with. I don't want bone straight hair, just something that I can maintain and braid by itself.

Texturizing nappy hair?

hhmmm.......

i dont know if we are thinking of the same thing or not, but my mother puts a texturizer in her hair every 6-8 weeks.

what it does for her is it enhances her natural curl, making it look "curly" and not "nappy." does that make sense?

but i dont know what effect it would have on 100% african american hair. my mother is 75% african american, so maybe it would have a similiar effect for you.

what you could do is go to one of your local hair salons for a consultation, to see what a proffesional has to say before you make any decisions!

good luck!

ohhh i want one. i have never heard of a texturizer, is it like a perm or realxer?? cause i have had those. what does a texturizer do?

Texturizing nappy hair?

Sometimes a texturizer can cause the hair to be very dry and break. Be careful.

Here check this out maybe you can learn to manage your hair without a texturizer.
