Should I cut my hair?

I have fried it with bleach so much that now (i was born with straight hair) it is all in tiny little nappy knots and waves. my sister says I look like trash and that I need to go back to my natural color (brown) and that I should cut it really short so it will be healthy. I get the same advice from salons, too.

But im not sure if i want to cu it because last summer my little brother cut my hair really short (i wasnt mad, hey, he actually did a good job!) but it took me a year to get it almost shoulder length.

My mom says i look cute blonde and that it took too long for me to grow it out for me to cut it all off.

I just dont know what to do!!

starting over from scratch -- cut it!

Should I cut my hair?

okay

well you must cut it off to make it naturally smooth again but if you like the blond

next time DONT use bleach. Use a box hair die from the store.

Should I cut my hair?

I think it really depends on how YOU feel about your hair. If you're happy with it the way it is, then you don't have to cut it. If you feel it's too hard to manage since it's so damaged, it would definitely be good for your hair to cut it. And remember it doesn't have to be all or nothing. You can make the color darker and then cut off a couple of inches at a time so you eventually will have all new, healthy growth but you don't have to go right to cutting is super short.

Good luck with whatever you decide!

no

Should I cut my hair?

yuo should cut it if you want it to look good it will be worth the wait and when it does grown back take care of it this time

Depending on how long your hair is, lets say its shoulder lenght. maybe try a 2-3 inch trim, some treatment and hair gloss. Ask your hairdresser about the gloss though, because it could turn your hair a funny color. But if your hair is past your shoulders and your willing to try something new, cut it to around your chin, short style frame your face nicely. and to get rid of some of the damage, dont wash your hair as much and dont straighten or style it with a flat iron or blow dryer. But I advise getting the trim or cut first. if you want to get rid of the color i hear dandruff shampoo takes it out, (ex. head %26amp;%26amp; shoulders)

good luck :)

Should I cut my hair?

dye it back if you don't want to cut it use a moisture mask (bedhead has a great one) it'll take a bit to get it back the way it was if you do cut it and want it to grow faster take prenatal pills just cheap over the counter also a scalp massage every week will help stimulate it to help it grow faster don't do box blonde if u want to keep it blonde box dye is just as bad as bleach if not worse when you go in ask if they have different brands of bleach some are less harsh

Should I cut my hair?

i definitely think you should a least get it trimmed and once a week or every two weeks you should put a deep conditioner on your hair to restore it kenra makes a really good one that's like $20. do you bleach over bleach? cause when i started bleaching my hair i had to cut off the ends and stuff cause they were really damaged cause i had to bleach them twice to get the color i wanted but now i can just bleach my roots and it's alot healthier cause it's not being bleached twice or more. so if you can just bleach it once on your roots every time then it should be able to stay healthy but you have to take care of it by not putting to much heat and stuff on it.

Should I cut my hair?

Honey if everybody is telling you to cut it then do it. Your hair is essentially what we in the cosmetology business call "fried". If there is any hope that there might actually be some healthy hair left, cut off the rest or you're ends are gonna start splitting up the shaft and your hair is gonna start falling out. Putting color back into it isn't an option because there is physical damage to your hair. Stop the kitchen bleach jobs because thats half your problem right there. When your hair starts to grow out after a bleaching, you should only go in and bleach the new growth, not the whole hair. Give your hair a break and stop bleaching it for a while until it's healthy again. That might take a year but it's better than being bald.
