The quickest and simplest way to disguise new growth is using protein gel like Ampro. If your hair is long enough, wash hair, and then use gel to pull hair back into a ponytail. place a scarf around your head until your hair is dry. Then you can style ponytail however you want and your roots should look straight.

Ponytails can stress hair, so your can also try wrapping your hair with gel. Then place scarf around your hair until dry. When your hair is completely dry you can curl your hair, using a light oil and curl wax.

P.S. I would style on a free morning instead of at night because, my scarf always comes off, and it takes along time for your hair to dry naturally with the gel in it. If you have at home hood dryer that will speed the process up.
